Thanks to the lovely ladies at Ironhead Vintage (and the West Texas wind), I had a bit of a Marilyn Monroe moment AND scored one of my favorite dresses of the summer. Light, airy and comfortable checks off everything on my list. Living in West Texas, with temperatures over 100 degrees most days, dresses are my go-to. I like to keep it simple and easy during these more often than not, uncomfortable, hot months. Ironhead Vintage offers a variety of items- comfy tees to dresses to sunglasses. Do yourself a favor and check out this awesome clothing line. I love that it's all vintage inspired, 1980's, 1990's... and that the price point is amazing- they have it all. Also, be sure to check out my other favorite picks from their site below. Those high waisted cut-offs and sunglasses... need I say more?

There's nothing like a simple, black dress. This particular dress has become my travel and daytime companion. I usually opt for dresses while traveling because comfort is key for me. The low back is a bit unexpected, making it a little dressier than you would originally think. Keeping it casual and easy with pair of sandals makes it perfect for a day shopping or lunching with friends.

Zoned Out

I remember when I bought this skirt a few years back, it was a major step out of my comfort zone. My boyfriend even stated at one point that the skirt looked Amish (haha). I'd always been the jeans/shorts with a top kind of girl and I don't think I owned but a few skirts back then. Around that time, I became obsessed with the Sex and the City Movie and really loved and admired (even though it's just a movie) the fashion risks taken by those four friends. I decided to start taking more risk myself, and found that there were so many things I'd been missing out on because of fear. Since then, this skirt has been a staple, and I love styling it with my silk tank and Stella & Dot necklace. With that being said, don't be afraid to try new things. So many things I wear now, I would never have had the guts to wear even two years ago. It's all about finding your personal style, what you love and what makes you feel your most confident!

Denim On Denim

Denim on denim has been my go-to look for a while now. I love the lighter denim wash on top, bringing out the tears and faded look of my jeans. I've had this J.Crew shirt for almost two years now and have worn it every way possible. Casual, comfortable and classic.
